A brewery company in northern Ireland says it will no longer use the word beer in its name.
The Irish Independent has reported that Brewster Brewery said in a letter to Irish consumers that it has “doubled down” on its original statement that it would stop using the word “beer” in its branding.
The statement was made in December 2016 after Brewster announced plans to buy an Irish-owned brewery.
The company said that it will now refer to its products and products by their full names in its marketing materials, in all of its marketing and promotional materials, and in its website.
It said it was “looking forward to moving forward as a whole and working with our local and international partners to develop the best possible brand for our customers.”
Brewster has said it plans to take over the Irish brewing industry and its Irish customers.
