As part of the project, the NFL and the league office will start planning to convert all NFL stadiums to indoor practice fields.
The NFL plans to move to the indoor facility in 2019, which will replace its current practice fields in Cleveland and Tampa Bay.
A new facility will be built in 2020.NFL spokesman Dan Campbell said Thursday that the new practice field will be about the size of a football field.
The stadium would be in a different location on the field and the facility would be equipped with a locker room for players and trainers.
The process is expected to take a year or more, Campbell said.
